The business resource in Anderson County is the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce. The organization of nearly 500 businesses represents the business community and provides a diverse range of services for its members — and for potential members. The Chamber’s strength is in its membership — its number and diversity. Both large and small businesses are represented. The Chamber can accomplish collectively what no one business can do alone.
Benefits for Chamber members include promoting their business through advertising in Chamber publications such as the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce Guidebook, networking their business at Chamber activities and using the membership list for promotional mailings.
For potential members — new businesses — the Chamber can help with information on setting up or expanding a business. For prospective and new businesses we supply county maps, statistical data, an industrial directory and access to long-term businesses that can support new commerce. Potential new residents can get a wealth of information from the chamber — an example of which is this website. Housing and schools, medical care, recreation, day care are all topics the Chamber helps provide. For additional membership information, please call the Chamber Office at (865) 457-2559.
